A native of San Diego, California - David Marsh was a 20 year veteran of the video game industry as an artist and designer before switching his creative focus to photography and printmaking during the pandemic. He currently resides in Escondido, California.

I came to printmaking from a background in digital media and design. For years, my work existed entirely on screens — until I discovered alternative photographic processes. To print the image by hand — to make it real through pressure, chemistry, and touch — was transformative. It felt like magic and gave me the tactile connection I’d been missing.

My work centers on close observation: the structure of a feather, the silhouette of a leaf, the quiet complexity of birds and trees. These subjects shift my focus outward, toward the subtle beauty of the natural world. Each print invites a pause, to look closely — and perhaps transform that moment of consideration into something of your own.
