A native of San Diego, California - David Marsh was a 20 year veteran of the video game industry as an artist and designer before switching his creative focus to photography and printmaking during the pandemic. He currently resides in Escondido, California.
“I came to printmaking from a background in digital media and design. For years, my work existed entirely on screens — until I discovered alternative photographic processes. To print the image by hand — to make it real through pressure, chemistry, and touch — was transformative. It felt like magic and gave me the tactile connection I’d been missing.
My work centers on close observation: the structure of a feather, the silhouette of a leaf, the quiet complexity of birds and trees. These subjects shift my focus outward, toward the subtle beauty of the natural world. Each print invites a pause, to look closely — and perhaps transform that moment of consideration into something of your own.”
